Vietnam Voted As The World's Best Golf Destination 2021

According to a recent report on the "Vietnam Express" website, at the World Golf Grand Prix held in Dubai at the end of October this year, Vietnam was named the best golf destination in the world and Asia in 2021. This is not only the second year that Vietnam has been recognized as the world's best golf destination, but also the fifth consecutive year that it has won the "Best of Asia" award.

The World Golf Awards aims to recognize and reward countries and regions that have performed outstandingly in golf tourism. As an important part of the former, the Asia Best Golf Destination Award has been selected once a year since 2014 and is regarded as the most prestigious awards in the field .

According to the report, compared with other golf destinations such as the United States, New Zealand, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and so on, Vietnam has a first-class golf service infrastructure that meets international standards and has won praise from many golfers.

The organizer of the event said that although the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have affected the entire tourism industry, especially the golf industry, this year's World Golf Awards still received a record number of votes from golfers around the world.

Data from the Vietnam Professional Golf Association shows that in 2018, more than 70,000 people in the country used golf as a leisure sport, far exceeding the 10,000 in 2009. Currently, Vietnam has more than 30 golf courses, many of which have reached international standards.
